On May 31st, Team VIII of Cambodian Counter-Terrorism GOE(special operations group), led by Makara Moeung arrived at SSEZ. Shao Jianming, Vice G.M. of SSEZ introduced to the team about the general situation of the development process here, harmony with the surrounding local people and villages.

Since Hun Sen, the Prime Minister of Cambodia and his wife came to the foundation in 2008, SSEZ has turned to a prototype of an international industrial zone from former hillocks. There are 60 enterprises right now, of which over thirty start producing. Due to the security and stability supplied from Cambodian government, SSEZ didn’t receive any impact during the nationwide strike at the beginning of this year. Shao Jianming said, compared to other neighboring countries in Southeast Asia, Cambodia has stable Political situation, friendly and kind local people and excellent investment environment. That’s why SSEZ and enterprises both have full of confidence for the future.

Makara Moeung said that it’s one of their most important tasks to take responsibility for the stability and harmony of all the SEZs in Cambodia for counter-terrorism special operations. This visiting to  SSEZ aimed to know the development here, to inform the situation of Cambodian anti-terrorism and to eliminate signs of unrest initiatives. However, it’s more important to establish a linkage mechanism with SSEZ, to jointly maintain the good situation of peaceful development in it. He was also shocked to see the fast development in this area. In the future, he would like to strive to maintain the social order surrounding this zone, promoting to make more people know such a good SEZ.

The Team VIII led by Makara Moeung consists of soldiers, policemen, officials and students representatives from government army, police department, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and education system.
