MS DAI said, during these years, with the support of the many governmental departments including the government in Sihanouk Province, the SSEZ Company conquered many challenges during its construction and gain a huge achievement today such as relatively prefect living supporting facilities, more than 30 enterprises into operation, 9000 Cambodian workers in the SSEZ. Furthermore, the villages near the SSEZ experienced a huge change. It seems that the SSEZ not only provide the residents in the villages with working opportunities but also create chances for them to make fortune. A large number of residents gain a large amount of incomes through renting rooms for workers in the SSEZ which improved living standards of local residents. It is proved that the SSEZ and near villages are creating a win-win situation now
The new provincial governor said even though he just assumed the office, he knew a lot about this province. He really felt proud of becoming the governor of Sihanouk Province, because the Sihanouk Province will become a well-developed province in terms of the economy and industry in near future based on the contribution from the construction of the SSEZ.The governor appreciated the contribution of the SSEZ in terms of improving the economy position of Sihanouk Province and helping local residents to get rid of poor lives and create fortune. Furthermore, the SSEZ Company never gave up the social responsibility and made good relationships with local residents living in near villages, even though the self-construction tasks of the zone is burdensome. This kind of spirit is valuable. He said the Sihanouk government is the powerful supporter of the SSEZ and the SSEZ Company could communicate with the government frequently. If the SSEZ Company has the difficulties during the construction of the SSEZ, the government will make efforts to solving these problems, including illegal worker strike. If the strike or parade spread to the Sihanouk, the government will conduct a correct guidance and help the SSEZ Company to take the precaution measures positively.
