Sihanoukville Special Economy Zone (SSEZ) had plenty of highlights and achievements in 2023.His Excellency Mr. Sun Chanthol(Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, Cambodian Chairman of the China-Cambodia Intergovernmental Coordination Committee, and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia), His Excellency Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea(Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia), His Excellency Mr. Om Yentieng(Minister of State and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission),  and His Excellency Mr. Kouch Chamroeun(Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province) expressed all their praise to the zone. Recently, they had sent their blessings in the form of letters and videos, congratulating SSEZ on its development achievements in 2023, and wishing the zone prosperity in the new year.

In the letter, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol expressed warm congratulations on the fruitful results and vigorous development of SSEZ in recent years. He commented that SSEZ not only boosted employment in Cambodia, but also greatly promoted the sustainable and inclusive development of Cambodia's economy and society in a peaceful and politically stable environment. He said under the wise leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet ,the 7th  Royal Government would continue to support the development of the special economy zones to promote Cambodia’s economic diversification, and especially the development of SSEZ.

Deputy Prime Minister Sok Chenda Sophea also spoke highly of the fruitful results achieved by SSEZ. He praised the zone for making an important contribution to boosting local employment and promoting the development of the industrial economy in his letter, and wished Sihanoukville Special Economy Zone for more new enterprises and even better development.

His Excellency Om Yentieng praised SSEZ in his letter for its great role in promoting Cambodia's economic growth during the global impact of the COVID-19 epidemic. He said that the Anti-Corruption Commission will continue to perform its duties and, as always, help SSEZ and all private enterprises to solve the difficulties they face.

In addition, Provincial Governor Kouch Chamroeun expressed warm congratulations to Sihanoukville Special Economy Zone on its brilliant achievements in 2023 through a blessing video, and hoped that the zone would continue its efforts in 2024, accelerate investment promotion, and strive to achieve a new level in the total import and export volume of the zone.
