On 28th August, the vice-general manager JIANG Daxin represented the SSEZ Company announced that the prices of electricity would decrease from 31 cents to 28 cents from 1st September 2013.

Since the middle of July, with the connection of the power net of Sihanoukville Province Electric Power Company, the prices of electricity are lower than the costs of the electricity generated by diesel power plant, but the power supply is not stable. So the diesel power plant of SSEZ Company is prepared for 24 hours to deal with the power cut of municipal power supply.

After one-month pilot run, the SSEZ Company did not consider to offset the prophase costs of power plant building and maintain present equality between power prices and costs. After measuring carefully, because of the decrease in power prices, more than 20000 USD profits are brought to enterprises in SSEZ.
