Q:What are the conditions and planning of power generation in SSEZ currently?
A:
At present, there are three national grid
power access points in SSEZ, including a national substation(150MW) and a
thermal power plant(1st phase-35MW) built by SSEZ. The substation can be
further expanded to 200MW if necessary, then the total capacity could reach to 235MW.
Q:Is the investment ratio of the foreign investors limited? What is the minimum capital of limited company or stock company?
A:Cambodia doesn’t limit the investment ratio of the foreign investors, and foreign investors can have 100% stock equity. The minimum registered capital of business registration limited company or stock company is generally $5,000 without any preferential policies. However, the company which is approved by CDC can enjoy preferential policies, and the registered capital is more than $500,000.
Q:If the raw materials are imported, and the products after processing are all exported to Southeast Asian Nations, how should calculate the tariff? (can the import and export tax be deductible?)
A:The fifth chapter the fourteenth article the fifth paragraph of the Law of Investment of Cambodia Kingdom says: All the export products are totally free for export tax. 0% of the customs tariff can be available between ten ASEAN countries.
Q:How much time and money will it cost from Sihanoukville to Bangkok port through the sea or the land?
A:
There is direct
sailing from Sihanoukville to Bangkok for 2-3 days now. The freight is
calculated as followed: 40-feet container costs 300 USD per container, and
20-feet container costs 200 USD per container. Certainly, it is also available
directly by land from Sihanoukville to Bangkok.
Q:Does SSEZ have supporting services to solve managers’ accommodation problems?
A:
There are hotels and apartments in SSEZ to
meet the accommodation needs of corporate managers.
